The concept of home away from home, can be rarely experienced or expected in hotels, inns or homestays, however that is precisely what we received from New Yanti Guest Home. The vachan, " अतिथि देवो भवः" means guest is equivalent to God, is what the host Sunny Nagpal believes and practices. Being a first time visit to Ujjain, we had made the reservation just a day before our arrival, and being the season of Deepavali festival, the city was packed with tourists and pilgrims. Despite these bottlenecks, we managed to reach the city, only to be caught in heavy traffic, as a result of which the primary roads towards our destination were blocked. Upon calling our host, for guidance, he was very accommodating and decided to come, to where we were landlocked in traffic, and accompanied us, by being our guide/navigator, and personally guided us to his guest home. He was cordial enough to personally assist us, by lifting our luggage to our room, and made sure that we were completely cared for. Room wise, it is a very modest, homely looking air conditioned room, with its own attached private bathroom, with running hot water. The room is well ventilated and noise free, despite being hardly a few minutes away from Mahakaleshwar mandir. Our host was very accommodating and kept track of our daily wants and needs, and went out of his way to make our trip, comfortably memorable. Right down to the extent, of extending our stay in our room, by a whole day, even though we requested at the very last minute. When it came to making a payment for the last minute extension of our stay, he merely said, payment any amount that you deem fit. People like Mr.Sunny Nagpal are very rare to come by, and we truly can't wait to stay at New Yanti, once again.

The owner was very helpful and provided all the tips and suggestions we needed to explore the Ujjain city. On request they can also help in booking a slot for Bhashma Aarti. They also booked a taxi for me to Indore. Rooms were clean and specially bathroom was super clean which generally is not the case with several other budget hotels. So, overall experience was really good. Highly recommend it!
