We spent a night here and really felt welcomed. It was a nice room in a charming place. The facilities were exceptional, and the staff was very nice. As it is centrally located in the town, we had everything in an arms reach. We also decided to take an Irish breakfast here, and it was really good. I would 100% recommend for everyone. And thank you so much!

Our amiable host gave us a warm welcome right away, then we found a big room with sparkling clean bathroom, lots of extra space and nice styled furniture. The place sits a bit higher up a hill and we enjoyed the view at the lovely garden with lots of flowers in bloom and across the valley and the quiet atmosphere. I want to emphasize the beds in our room were the most comfortable I've slept in in a long long time, we will miss those mattresses! The host was very caring and helpful to all our questions and we enjoyed staying here very much!

The breakfast was awesome . I ate at 9 am and was full till dinner time. The eggs with salmon is something i have never had better anywhere else. Very friendly family running the place like professionals

We had a really great stay at Buttermilk. The lodge is surrounded by greenery but 5 minutes walk from Clifden centre. The staff is super nice, the structure and rooms are cozy and clean and breakfasts are GREAT! It's a perfect position to visit Connemara and would absolutely recommend it.

the comfort of the place was like home away from home a lovely smile and char from paula the host she was so great with my mum giving her tea and scones and martin was lovely to my mum making sure she was looked after . i have stayed in properties and paid huge prices and not even a greeting i will be back. A huge thank you to all the staff the room was a great size and the onsuite for my mother was large.

Staying at Margaret's and Martin's Beach house was the gem of my solo trip. I arrived exhausted, needing a break from hiking, walking and staying at uncomfy places. Margaret was kind enough to pick me up from the bus and drove to the house. She even made me tea and dinner, and a delicious one, considering she is a chef ! I slept like a baby, the room is so comfy and quiet. The view on the beach is amazing too. Breakfast was really great, lots of handmade stuff ! Then Margaret drove me back to Clifden as she was going to work. We talked a lot, she was the warmest and I will be more than happy to visit her again !
