This accommodation was exceptional. The staff, breakfast, location were all absolutely superb. The accommodation was tucked away in a quiet area 80 metres down a lane from the main road. The jungle setting and the pool were serene.

Cempaka was a really nice experience for us. It is situated slightly north of the busy center of Ubud, making it a great base for sightseeing. The room was stylish & cozy, and the view on the swimming pool was nice. The swimming pool itself was lovely too! A great place to come back to after a day trip or activity in Ubud center. The laundry service exceeded all expectations and the driver they recommended was really nice as well. We asked a lot of questions and learnt a lot during the drive. Pak Kadek was a splendid host. He was very considerate and helpful with all the questions we had. We had the luck that a special ceremony was taking place in the nearby temple while we were there. Pak Kadek brought us along and guided us through the experience and Ibu Niwayan made sure we dressed respectable & traditional. We feel very lucky and grateful for that experience and their hospitality. This place is definitely recommended! Lastly: ask accommodations and drivers directly instead of through platforms if you can. A driver can recommend an accommodation and vice versa. It makes a big difference for them and their community.

The place is amazing, it's like a piece of heaven. I don't regret putting my money in it. If you are looking for comfort, I advise you. Very nice and clean room. Tulus made us feel like our house with many useful information he provided. He arranged a motorbike for us very quick after we checked in. We were in contact via what’s up for everything we needed during our staying. While walking towards rooms you are passing through some local resident houses but they are very friendly.

Perfect little hotel. Everything from the room, bed, pool was on the spot! Best were the family runing the hotel, so kind, helpful and smiling all the time. Location is great, you are close enough to centre with the scooter, but in the peaceful street so you can sleep.

the staff were great and helped me a lot (not only with accommodation). i came for a couple of days and ended up extending, the room was cleaned every day; there are nice restaurants in the area as well as yoga facilities, and the area is quite beautiful with not too many people. i would definitely stay here again

We stayed in Griya Tropical for 16 nights and couldv’e not asked for a better place. Kindest staff, always so welcoming and helpful. Super quiet location and even the narrow street going up to the Villa wasn’t a problem with a scooter, just a few minute walk from the bigger street anyways. The whole place was always kept clean, which made it nice to spend a few days by the refreshing pool. Also they have a kitchen area, perfect for making yourself a nice breakfast.
