On Sunday I got a text from Condor stating Monday's boat was cancelled due to weather. At the time I was at the Premier Inn - and after enquiring and finding out they wanted another £100 for 1 night, I checked booking.com for availability elsewhere - and this popped up for £38 a night. I worked on the road in the UK and have stayed at A LOT of hotels and BnB's in my time - so was only really after a place to put my head down. Genuinely - probably the best £38 I've ever spent. Colin is an absolute delight and will happily ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are very clean, with TV's, a kettle, fridge and microwave. Proximity to a local Waitrose, pub and a great fish and shop is perfect AND breakfast was included! Two whole kippers, a jug of coffee, toast and marmalade! Honestly - there's a reason this place comes so highly reviewed. Will happily be stranded in Guernsey again if I get to stay here!

This is the little sister accommodation to Pandora Hotel, which is down the road. We were able to park at Pandora and dine there anytime. Having stayed in both, Pandora and Marton, I have to say that we preferred Marton Guest House even. The breakfast was better, the management was lovely and the whole feeling was a bit more personal. In short: This is the place we'd stay in on any future stay on Guernsey. It's just spot on.

Excellent spot for me to get some R&R after an extremely choppy sea voyage from Jersey (people were vomiting all over the place). An intriguing old property with steep, narrow staircases and long, winding hallways. Once I stepped inside, I felt like I was being transported by a time machine to the early 19th century; the time of Romantic poetry and Napoleonic wars. My key was waiting for me at the reception desk. The manager was nice enough to arrange for me to get some breakfast on the go very early in the morning since I had to catch my flight. Cheers! PS The difference between the ebb and flood (several metres) is simply mind-blowing!

Colin is a great host. The guesthouse is very clean and well equipped. Microwave, electric kettle, TV, coffee and tea in the room. The breakfast was good and had a vegetarian option. Bus stop nearby. Great value for money.

Colin our host was exceptional! He looked after us and was very knowledgeable about the area, buses, etc and very friendly. Each morning Colin cooked us breakfast and was always punctual, friendly and served exactly what we'd ordered. The bed and room were comfortable and clean. The shared facilities were always kept clean and tidy. The location, although a little out of town, was easy to get to by bus or walking. Colin's guesthouse is very good value for money and we would definitely recommend.

Excellent host with lots of local knowledge. The Guest House was quaint and providing a laundry service was greatly appreciated. The breakfast was delicious and very nicely served with old-fashioned finesse. We really enjoyed our stay and felt included for a brief time as a local. The bus service was excellent and just up the street.

Colin was fantastic. Was one of the nicest and most helpful host I have had when staying in a hotel or guest house. Provided help with the island and other things. What a guy!

Colin cooked a nice English breakfast for me every morning with a large pot of tea ! He was mindful that I have an allergy to gluten and provided food that was gluten free .... He even offered to go to the local supermarket to get gluten free bread ! The room was comfortable with tea making facilities a microwave and fridge ..... The guesthouse was quiet with no traffic noise ... There was no en suite toilet and shower but at this price point I didn't expect one !!!

Very retro and I loved it ,everything was there what you needed, very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot, booked my time for breakfast and it was there soon as I sat down, The host was very very friendly and welcoming, so much knowledge about Guernsey , where to go and all about when the guest house was built. He made me feel so welcome and nothing was to much trouble.
