We stayed at the black swan for 3 nights and used it as a base to travel out around the Lake District. Steve and Jacky were very welcoming and there was always laughing and joy in the air. It has a really homely feel to it throughout our stay. The rooms are lovely and have everything you would need, the bed was very comfortable after long walks and activities. The breakfast was amazing and a perfect start to an active day. A superb place to stay, relax and enjoy everything the Lake District has to offer. Thank you Jacky & Steve

The host was absolutely fantastic, the food was excellent and the room was lovely and comfortable. We travelled with 2 dogs and when we sat down for lunch they were given a dog bed and a bowl of water. I cannot recommend this highly enough.

The landlord was o helpful and accommodating. We were able to leave our car parked here for days while we didC2C cycle ride. He made sure our bikes were under cover and secure. The service was exceptional.
