The location was perfect with lovely garden setting but close to the town centre. The hostess Sarah was very friendly and particularly helpful with advice and letting me store my luggage on my departure day as well as cooking a great full English breakfast at the sister property close by. The room was very comfortable.

The property is well located right in the centre of Bakewell and super easy to find, right next door to the old Bakewell pudding shop and tons of little cafes for breakfast. The staff are super friendly and it was a lovely room. Well decorated and a super comfy bed that made it hard to get out of!! The shower was really powerful and complimentary toiletries included. Easy access for out of normal pub hours as well. Whilst there is no parking, there are many car parks really close by and the agricultural centre is literally a 5 min walk away and £6 for 24 hours. There are 4 or 5 free 30 min spaces parking out side the pub so easy for dropping off your stuff. The hours are 8am to 6pm for the free 30 mins so you can park overnight if you arrive after 6 but you do need to move your car by 8.30 to make sure the following morning! Breakfast isn’t offered but you really don’t need it with so many little local cafes within 2 minutes Walk.

We loved our stay our room was cosy and comfortable very warm on a very cold day and night staff we're fabulous and what we loved the most is that when we ate our meals we weren't surrounded by dogs. I highly recommend the special board as the steak and kidney pudding was beautiful and just what I needed on a cold day very very nice, thank you all much appreciated 👏

Pub was situated in a gorgeous spot overlooking the village of Eyam. Views were spectacular. Rooms were clean, cosy & warm. Good selection of drinks/toiletries & lovely towels. Bed & bedding were super comfy. Pub/restaurant was absolutely fabulous, food & service were amazing. Highly recommend a stay here & we'll definitely be back.
