The room was comfortable and clean, with facilities to make coffee or tea. Breakfast is served at Hotel Schuberts am Schloss, which is 5-10 minutes walk away , just far enough to work up a hunger! The breakfast spread is excellent, with a wide variety of food choices and friendly, attentive staff. Buttenheim is a lovely quiet village, handy for travel links. The station is only 20 minutes walk away, with direct trains every hour to Bamberg and Nuremburg and beyond, running late into the evening. The motorway is about 1km away. The surrounding countryside is a pleasant mixture of arable and woodland with lots of possible walks or cycle rides. With a little research trips out to beer gardens and beer kellers are possible in summer and the two Buttenheim breweries both have their own pleasant Bierkellers just a 10-minute walk away.

We booked two rooms hence we can use the kitchen entirely. Each room is of similar size with big toilet. The host provided everything including a very well equipped kitchen and a big laundry room with washing machine. They provided many different types of kitchenwares, utensils and cutlery in sufficient quantity. Very spacious and comfortable with ample closets and a big desk. The flat is decorated in style and aroma in toilets. The slippers are even provided. Parking is also on site just right in front of the entrance. We drove our car to visit Nuremberg. Not that far away.

This property was PERFECT! It is a beautiful, well run boutique hotel right in the centre of old town. The breakfast was delicious, the bed was so comfortable and we loved every minute of our stay. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

The property is very cozy and the interiors of the old building have been restored really nicely. The location of the property is very good, hidden in the small streets of Bamberg, only a short few minutes walk away from the old city centre and plenty of nice things to see and many restaurants and bars to visit. In the small (shared) kitchen on the ground floor the guests have the possibility to prepare breakfast, coffee etc. for themselves.

Stopped over for one night. They were able to get us A table for dinner despite late arrival. Nice location near the church and with a great view of the castle. Clean. Decent beds. Parking on property.
