Very lovely hosts! We fell in love with the dogs as well- it was almost like a therapeutic experience how much love we received by the dogs 😅. Beautiful place as well. Amazing value for money!! Oscar makes the best coffee!!

We ended up staying longer than expected. What makes this place special is it's owner. One of the very few Colombian owners in Palomino. Therefore he has to tell many interesting stories if you want to learn more about Palomino, it's people and surroundings. (He wants to learn English but so far only speaks Spanish). Antoher big plus is the space you have on the hostel grounds. There is a swimming pool, an eating area with breakfast included. They will offer you different breakfast options if you simply ask them. There are baby turtles, a garden and space to put down your yoga mat on the grass if you want to work out. The location is excellent. You are only a few minutes walk from the beach and the restaurants and stores. It's quiet. There are no dogs but you are welcome to bring your pet along.

Fantastically run, beautiful hostel!! Staff are some of the friendliest we have met in Colombia, Diana and Daniela are amazing, taking time out of their day to assist you with anything. Diana also speaks impeccable English, although is patient and happy for you to practise your Spanish with her aswell! We extended our stay multiple times and they always found room for us, even when they were technically full (amazing space on top floor they save for friends and family). The hostel is a stunning bamboo and timber construction, dorms are 4 people max and spacious, airy and comfortable. The staff clean round the clock so its always spotless. 4 breakfast options every day (included in stay) all of which are delicious (best hostel pancakes we've had!). Location is great, 10 minute walk from the beach so far enough from the party spots thats its quiet at night. They also have a resident family of dogs that are super friendly and playful and will accompany you to the beach and river for swims. Honestly cant say enough good things, this is one of the best (if not the best) run hostel we've ever stayed at, and one of the cheapest, operated by people who generally seem to enjoy what they do. I would reccomend this hostel to anyone passing through Palomino!!
