We were very well received, the room was very clean, had a small desk and a place to put a bag. The heater was working well, and the curtains didn't let any light get into the room. There is a shared bathroom on the floor, towels, and tea. We had the option of leaving the keys in a box for check-out, as our flight was very early. There's a restaurant on the ground floor with a lot of options from breakfast to dinner, and we could barely hear the guests from our room on the first floor.

I loved everything. This is the best guesthouse I ever stayed at and I travel a lot. They think of everything you need on the travel. You can leave the luggage, use the toilet and a beautiful kitchen with the view over the city while you are waiting for check in (and even after check out). It made my short trip so much more easier. Everything is spotless clean, the view from the terrace is amazing, staff welcoming, rooms are comfortable, beautiful, clean, I even had a big balcony, shower and bed are also amazing. I would stay here again and again. A basic but very tasty breakfast is also a big plus. I love the location as well. It's walking distance to all the main sites and close to the main train and bus station. Thank you for everything. You made my stay in Zurich unforgetable.

We had booked a short stay with the Alexander Guesthouse on our way back and we received a really warm welcome and a room upgrade! I should note that our upgraded room was actually at the Alexander Hotel (not the guesthouse) and we were even allowed to check in early. Notes: - staff was super polite and made us feel really at home - a very cosy experience overall. - modernly furnished room, big comfy bed, nice bathroom. Not very spacious but not too small either. Very clean. - complimentary coffee, filtered water and fruit at each floor - complimentary access to the Zurich Zoo (upon availability) - this was actually the highlight of our experience. - location is excellent, right at the heart of the old town, very close to the main station too. Despite the location, the room was very quiet. - great value given the hotel rates in Zurich. I recommend this place and would book again if I return to Zurich.

As described - a very honest place: It's very basic with literally no amenities. But staff is friendly, it's clean and the price is amazing for a city center in Switzerland.

Excellent location in Winterthur not in the town centre but close to our friends. Cafe downstairs great and staff were welcoming and helpful even though we spoke no Swiss. Roof top gardens and outside areas great to enjoy the city while having your own space. Really good laundry facilities. And lift to get to your room.
