Location was excellent. Fabulous restaurants and cafes in walking distance. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was gorgeous. Staff were so friendly and helpful. These tented suites feature a private wooden deck and an en suite bathroom with an indoor and outdoor shower. The scenery was stunning both outside and inside. It truly felt like I was part of the family, the attention to detail was incredible from the welcome to send off. We will very much miss our new extended family, animals included 😁

This mobile home has a fireplace. Heuwelsig Farm Cottages offers self-catering accommodation on a working wine farm, just outside Franschhoek, only an hour drive from Cape Town. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at; not only in Franschhoek, but of all the places I have ever stayed at before. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The farm and surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful, and the location to the town center is perfect. One could stay here in the winter or the summer, due to the indoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor braai area. I love that it is also very private. Our host was extremely attentive; responding immediately whenever we asked her something. She was very friendly, helpful, and it was clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will now be staying here every time that we are in Franschhoek!

The hot tub and fireplace are the special features of this tent. Guests will find a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave in the well-equipped kitchen. We are a family of five and we stayed for three nights in a beautiful, very spacious and clean tent at Africamps. We had a wonderful view on the little lake and enjoyed the sunset with a glass of wine. The ordered braai- and breakfast baskets were great and I would recommend doing this south african style barbecue. We also participated in a meerkat safari, which we loved.

Hartenbos Private Game Lodge is a privately-owned escape set in the malaria-free region of Hartenbos, Mossel Bay situated on the Garden Route. The tents are great, they had everything we needed, very comfortable. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The game tour was lovely and very interesting. The owners were lovely and helped us when we our car slipped off the dirt road.

Featuring views of the Swartberg Mountains, each bush tent has its own open-air hot tub. There are coffee/tea facilities, plugs and in/outside lights, electric blankets, and a deck area. The location is stunning, totally worth a visit! The property was very recently purchased by new owners who are quite obviously putting in the effort to make the property even better. It’s got great bones and I’m sure when their vision comes to life it will be truly amazing. They were very kind and offered us great service, including a very tasty breakfast. Our room was comfortable and thankfully had heating for the very cold night. I would definitely recommend!
