The property features river views and is 31 km from Skukuza Golf Course. Absolute the best tented camp in KNP! Right on one of the best game drive routes. Nice and spacious tent, great facility. Really liked the Weber gas grill. Will return if we come to KNP again.

The staff is very friendly and you can easily connect with other people during game drive or at the camp fire. Game drives were fantastic! We have seen all the big 5 and our guides Karabo and Floyd are very knowledgeable. We also really enjoyed the food. The star is the braai (bbq) which offers options for meat lovers and vegetarians. I was surprised how good the oxtail was. The starter soups are also amazing. Vegetarian options were also available on request. Potential allergies were requested beforehand. For breakfast my favourite was the omelette, but other options are provided as well. Besides all of this you can enjoy the pool surrounded by birds between your game drives and in the night time, the sounds of the bush (yes we heard hyenas while falling asleep, but no need to worry, all is safe as a fence separates you from the wild animals!). Umkumbe Bush Lodge - Luxury Tented Camp is a recently renovated luxury tent in Sabi Sand Game Reserve, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, garden and bar. The property was built in 2021 and features air-conditioned accommodation with a patio. The luxury tent also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. this was the best stays that we have ever experienced. We left feeling like we were leaving our family behind. front desk was fantastic and always so kind to answer our many questions. The food was delicious. They offer massages that were fantastic! The best part about this entire experience were the safari guides.they are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs here and they really want the guests to enjoy each ride and get to see the animals they’re most excited about. I highly recommend this lodge for your stay. With this private lodge you get more up close and personal with the animals but with safe distance. We stayed 4 days and saw the big 5 which was really amazing.

We loved our twice a day game drives with Dan and saw all the big five in just a three day stay. The staff was incredible! The elephants came to visit the pool every single day we were there. I got a fantastic massage at the spa. I was most surprised at the quality of the food—top notch with great options. And they even made a special romantic dinner for us since we were on our honeymoon.

This was the most magical trip and we highly recommend Buffelshoek Tented Camp! Dudley and Lynn are so amazing in welcoming guests and making the stay absolutely amazing. The guides for the game drives are fabulous! Both Beckson and Elvis were so committed to making sure we saw all that we wanted to, even if it meant driving across the reserve! We saw the big 5 and so much more! We had shared that we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and they helped make it such an incredibly special day for us. On that evening we also had an elephant visit the camp! Wow!! This was definitely a bucket list trip for us and it far surpassed what we dreamed it was going to be!
