The property is absolutely wonderful. Nice, natural landscaping that let's you feel immersed in the Hawaiian rainforest. Feels very secluded and private, while also feeling safe and welcoming. Its walking distance to a black sand, clothing optional, beach. I will definitely book here again when visiting the Big Island. I would feel safe here as a solo traveler. Stephen greeted us when we arrived to the property and was so welcoming. I immediately felt at ease in his presence. He gave us a tour and showed us to our rooms, let us know how to reach him if we needed anything. Our smoke alarm was going off one night and he came right over, checked it out and swapped the battery, fixing the problem. I traveled with a friend and we each had separate rooms. The house feels more home like, relaxing front porch, solid wood furniture, and everything you'd need. Both rooms were clean and beds comfortable. At first, I thought my bed may be too soft, but I slept SO good and woke with no pains, feeling refreshed, so it must have been just right. Bath and beach towels were in our rooms, a bathrobe, a list of hosted and local activities we may be interested in, and a little bowl of snacks too. I also appreciated they had sunscreen and bug spray available.

The tent's kitchen, which features a stovetop and kitchenware, is available for cooking and storing food. I can't imagine a better way to explore the island. The car was incredible—powerful, reliable, and perfect for the roads we took. It came fully equipped with everything we needed for camping, which made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Ceci, from the staff, was incredibly helpful and friendly. She gave us amazing tips—not only about camping but also about where to go, what to skip, and the best places to eat. The information she shared felt like a full-on travel consultation! She gives you the information you won’t find in any website or guide. Thanks to her, we were able to experience Maui in a truly authentic and unforgettable way.

It was super easy to set up the tent and the jeep was a perfect mode of transport through the island of Maui. There are enough campgrounds around Maui where you can stay with this campcar. Tony is a very friendly host and provided everything we needed for this wonderful trip! This included useful tips as well as additional gear which made the trip even more memorable. We would definitely recommend renting a car from Tony! We loved his kindness.

The tent has a coffee machine, outdoor furniture and sea views. The unit has 4 beds. This was a magical experience. The SUV had everything you need to travel and camp. Towels, bug spray, chairs etc. Shawn was super cool and answered all our questions and had everything organized and immaculate for us to head out on are excursion. Definitely recommend this company!

The lodge had such a lovely feeling to it, tasteful, clean, and happily lived in. I loved it so much that I decided to stay for my last two night in Hawaii, and used it as my base. Friendly staff and as a female solo traveller, I enjoyed knowing that their family lived upstairs, it made me feel very safe and at ease.
