Calheta Glamping Pods - Nature Retreat ligt op 27 km van Cabo Girão en biedt een buitenzwembad en een tuin. De accommodaties hebben airconditioning, een patio en gratis WiFi. The view was phenomenal and the overall feeling of piece quiet was amazing. The pod itself is spacious, cosy and clean. Definitely recommend it!

The host was so supportive and attentive and fixed any issues immediately (one day water didn’t work). It’s also a 6-8 hour round trip to pico do Areiro hiking from the shelters, just follow the markers.

The fully equipped kitchen has a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave. Prachtig huisje (nr. 4 van de 8) in de bergen, volledig uitgerust met eigen keuken, douche en toilet. Goed geïsoleerd; binnen was het (in juni) aangenaam warm, ook als het snachts buiten wat koeler was. Het huisje ligt op een rustige lokatie in de bergen in een park, en meerdere wandelroutes lopen vlakbij. Ook fijn is op een paar minuten lopen afstand een uitstekend restaurant/bar (open woensdag t/m zondag van 10.00-22.00).

Everything was absolutely perfect - ideal for a quiet escape, beautiful hiking trails all around, fresh mountain water, the shelters themselves are beautifully organized and well equipped, and the hosts have been superbly helpful throughout our stay. Plus, the donkeys on the premises were extremely sweet and friendly! Would highly recommend, and we're looking forward to going back!
