Adventurer Camp is offering accommodation in Al Wāşil. There is a restaurant serving Middle Eastern cuisine, and free private parking is available. We absolutely loved our stay here, was one of the highlights of our trip. The team did their best to make it an amazing experience for their guests. We stayed 2 nights as we never had been to the desert before and that was a great choice. We were picked up by their 4x4, and we did the dune bashing and sunset viewing the same evening (costs 50 OMR in total for this). There is no sunset like in the desert.. The camp was lovely, very clean, food was nice and the bed the nicest we had all holiday. At night we could see the milky way and so many stars, even from the bed you have a little window to see the moon and the stars. We watched the sunrise from the top of the dune and experienced the campfire with local dessert and tea in the evening. The hospitality of the people was super, the rooms included own shower/toilet/sink/mirror/electricity plugs. Some other activities included sandboarding, camel riding and desert hiking.

Some accommodation includes a balcony and a seating area with flat-screen TV, as well as air conditioning and heating. At the campground, all units are fitted with a private bathroom. We had an amazing stay at Marbella Bungalows Desert Private Camp! The bungalows are very comfortable, beautifully designed, and modern. The mattress and sofa were incredibly cozy, making our stay even more enjoyable. The bathroom was fully functional, with a comfortable water temperature, allowing us to take a refreshing shower after a day in the desert. The food was absolutely delicious! Chef Mohammed puts his heart into every dish, and you can truly taste the passion in his cooking. Everything was incredibly tasty! A special thanks to the host, Abdullah. He is very friendly, always available, and ready to assist with anything you need. He even organized a small desert safari for us, which was an unforgettable experience!

At the luxury tent, all units are fitted with a outdoor furniture. At the luxury tent, every unit comes with a private bathroom and bed linen. Everyone is SO KIND!! I really appreciated the thoughtfulness of the staff and loved the quiet and intimacy of a smaller camp (only 4 tents). It was so fun meeting people from all over the world at dinnertime and breakfast, and the campfire after dinner was amazing for sharing conversation over tea while stargazing. Everything was so comfy and clean - the bed was comfortable and I loved being able to shower underneath the stars! Finding the camp was easy enough and I had a wonderful time here. Definitely go dune bashing with Ibrahim! The food was so yummy and plentiful and the sunrises/sunsets cannot be missed. I’m so glad I chose this place to stay!!

Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. The tents are very authentic, the beds are big and comfortable. The place has a beautiful setting in the desert. We were welcomed by dates, coffee, fruits. We ordered a dinner, which was really delicious and rich. Also, the breakfast was a traditional arab pancake, absolutely tasty. You need a 4 WD car to get to the camp, but the host can pick you up at a designated location.

Thousand Stars Desert Camp provides air-conditioned rooms in Bidiyah. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service.

All units at the luxury tent are equipped with a seating area. A balcony with an outdoor dining area and mountain views is offered in all units. The units include a private bathroom, free toiletries and bed linen. I never imagined the experience would be so fulfilling. Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.
