Top situated on top of a dune. The services are extremely friendly and competent. Rooms are in top condition and stylish, food is excellent. And the Pool with it"s view over the surrounding dunes ist worth to jump into. No noice creating activities in the camp but available in 500 m distance for those who like dune bashing. Camel rides and ballooning are further options amongst others. All in all- you will like it!

The camp and the rooms are really comfy. Food is delicious. We enjoyed the sunset on the dunes with an Omani coffee and it was a perfect moment. Little drive on top of the dunes is also a very very good memory. Saeed and the team will make you feel home.

I never imagined the experience would be so fulfilling. Staying in the desert is more than just an adventure – it’s about surrendering to the vastness of the dunes, the purest silence, the countless stars, and above all, the hospitality and vision of the young entrepreneur, Ali. His camp, Thousand Stars Desert, is simply a ten out of ten. Located deep within the Wahiba (Sharqiya) Sands, surrounded by untouched dunes, it offers only two fully equipped tents, which makes the experience truly exclusive. The fact that there are only two rooms transforms the place into something unique and deeply personal. I can’t imagine traveling all the way to the desert to be surrounded by tourists. Here, it’s just you – alone with the desert, or perhaps sharing it with one other lucky guest. My tent had a huge, incredibly comfortable double bed – as good as, or even better than, any five-star hotel. The interior felt completely cozy and inviting. At night, the temperature drops, but Ali has thought of everything: the bedding is perfect, and nothing is missing. The bathroom is just a few steps away, fully equipped and spotless – shower, toilet, bidet, mirror, toiletries – everything works perfectly. You genuinely feel at home, and then you realize: I’m in the middle of an immense desert! Next to the tent, there’s a raised platform – a sort of private viewpoint – with soft mattresses and cushions where you can lie down and watch the end of the sunset. For the beginning of it, you should climb the dunes themselves. The views are breathtaking: you can watch the wind slowly shape the sand, and later, under the night sky, a dazzling display of stars appears in complete clarity. Camels wander nearby, their silhouettes visible on the horizon at sunset or dawn – curious and gentle presences that complete the scene. When night falls, torches are lit throughout the camp, guiding your way.

Obaid, the owner of the tent, is an excellent Omani guy who was willing to help us all the time. The check-in process was easy, and the tent and bathroom was clean. The food in the dinner was excellent. The night bonfire session was awesome, where Obaid shared the fascinating Bedouin tales. Breakfast was good too. Milking and feeding goat was a unique experience and that was made more valuable by the helpful staff there who taught us how to do that. We missed the sunset moment, as we were late to reach the camp. but the sun rise moment was awesome. The camp is right besides the dunes. We also booked the desert safari trip at additional cost, which is done by Abdullah - son of Obaid. He is skilled driver and the best part was that he taught us how to drive in the dunes in our car. This was like the unforgettable part for me as a driver in the sand dunes. Obaid sent us the location to the camp and direction map using maps.me. Google map doesn't provide the right drive location. Would recommend his advice to follow the route and you can reach there without any guide in your 4x4 vehicle.

Ali and his colleagues were friendly and helpful. The camp is remote with no signal, so perfect if you are looking to disconnect from the world for a brief moment. The beds were comfy and the tents were really nice. There is even a shower on site which I did use. The sand dunes were beautiful. It gets a little chilly in the evening so remember to bring an extra layer. Dinner and breakfast was tasty and there was lots of it.

We had a great time in Safari Glamping! The camp is made of only three tents so the atmosphere is really comfortable and intimate. Breakfast and dinner were really plentiful and delicious, thanks to our chef, the guy who runs the camp

It's a small desert camp that offers a genuine and authentic experience. Said is a great host, very informative and welcoming. He tells plenty of stories and is an avid traveler himself. We loved the food and campfire at night. The desert itself is breathtaking.

Great location, but that is well known. The camp has its own traditional style, which we liked very much. The buffet / food was very good. Much better than we expected. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Deepak was always there if needed. Plenty of activities to chose from. We enyjojed the free stargazing experience with our Irani guide very much. Also the campfire had a great mood. All in one we would love to come back.

The camp was so isolated and private, not too close to any neighbouring camps and the stars were incredible. The tents were so clean and comfy and we saw loads of camels! Hamed, Ibrahim and Harun were all incredibly friendly and helpful for us and our little girl. They absolutely adored her and even bough us buckets and spades for her to play in the sand. The food was amazing and it was the most perfect desert experience!

We had the best time at this camp. The owners are super friendly and speak English very well. The food was absolutely delicious and more than enough. At night they make a campfire. There's many things you can do from this camp, like sandbashing, camel rides etc. They also offer a 4x4 transfer to get to the camp if you're driving a normal car. Would absolutely recommend! Oh and the tent is comfy, theres electricity and running water.
