Also breakfast is really outstanding and I enjoyed my Safari with Sanda a lot. I saw a lot of Elephants and I am grateful he recommended me to stay one more night to be able to do Safari in the evening time (cause the the elephants go to get water and you can see more of them) and visit the Elephant Orphanage in the morning - that was such a beautiful experience! I felt very well taken care of and warmly welcomed, I am very grateful I stayed there and I can only recommend to go for this experience!

Situated in Tanamalwila, 34 km from Udawalawe National Park and 26 km from Tissa Wewa, Thanamal-villa features accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden with a barbecue. We had great experience in Thanamal-Villa! We stayed in small house (not tent) and this place was surprising clean and comfortable! We needed place to rest before Safari in block 5 and 6 and it was a great choice! Thanamalvile is a small village, with local restaurants and shops and Thanamal-villa is located close to main roa, but behind it , there are calm fields and nature. The owner is so nice and hospitable! He took us even for short ride around the village- it was a great way to spending time there! You can also arrange safari with him easily! Room was simple but clean, there was a AC. Bathroom was small but had everything what you need. In the evening we could sit on the terrace and listen the peacocks voices. Thanks for everything!

In the Yala area, close to the famous national park, there is a small forest where the treehouses stand about 7 meters above the ground, spaced far apart to ensure complete privacy. Although the accommodation is minimal (as it should be), it features a comfortable bed enclosed in a mosquito net, a fan, a bathroom, and a shower — all handcrafted but built with very solid architecture. We had dinner at their restaurant: the food was delicious, the portions generous, and the space well cared for. Finally, the staff also arranged for a jeep driver to take us on a wonderful sunset safari. Highly recommended!!!
