One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served each morning. It was fresh, local, and perfectly prepared. He made us feel welcome, helped with renting bicycles and even did a very nice bicycle tour with us. The location is perfect if you want to see the sacred city (15 minutes walk away) and feel like being in nature. It is also a very good starting point to do a bicycle tour to Mihintale (which was a great experience!) From the nice rooftop terrace you can see the sunset over the stupas. This was a true highlight of our trip. The beds in the tents were soooo comfy, we ended up extending for two extra night. We went on a really great hike with our guide Banu too who was so knowledgeable, it really topped off the experience for us. If you’re looking for something off the tourist track and really in nature this is definitely the place to book.

Our host was great and helped us with anything we needed. The place is located in the jungle and very beautiful and idyllic. It is bit outside of Kandy but definitely worth the little walk (about 20min) or the short ride with a tuktuk. The yoga class at the rooftop was great!

All rooms in the resort are equipped with a kettle. Complete with a private bathroom fitted with a bidet and free toiletries, the rooms at Pinthaliya Resort have a TV and air conditioning, and some rooms include a balcony. The location was great for trips to Dambulla, and Sigiriya, and Minneriya national park. It was very spread out and it felt like no one was staying there. There were 2 pools, one was very refreshing and the main one got a little warm, bot h were very clean. The bathrooms were dated but fine, there was hot water. We had 3 rooms and 1 of the rooms had a fridge. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke pretty good english. The kids spent a lot of time in the pool and really enjoyed it and the monkeys that would come and say hi.
