Absolutely beautiful island; facilities have clearly been carefully thought out to maximise guest enjoyment. The north sauna was amazing, and the glamping tents lived up to the promise of their pictures. We would definitely come back!

Probably the best accommodation experience in years. It was simply amazing to arrive at this place after a day of cycling and find coziness, aesthetics, and comfort in every detail, along with a sense of history in the old school building. We were able to enjoy the sauna, and everything needed for a comfortable stay was provided. Jenni and Doug have been amazing hosts and such wonderful people to meet. We hope more travelers will discover this hidden gem!

Very unusual and great fun. Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful. So lovely to be in nature but close to facilities if you wanted them. The breakfast was fab and nothing was too much trouble.

The place was cozy and the landscape was beautiful. We had the sauna for ourselves and we could enjoy swimming as well. The breakfast that was included was also very nice and abundant.

Lovely hosts, regularly asking if we have everything we need. Very clean property. Lovely location, about 5 km to Imatra for start and finish of the Saimaa Cycle and Gravel tours. We enjoyed sauna twice after completing the Saimaa cycle tour and Saimaa Gravel tour (thank you for estimating our finish time and arrival back at the property). From the description of the property, the stay exceeded our experience with outdoor cooking facilities available if needed.

I really enjoyed the tranquility. I was one of the few there, literally. Only a few lights in the Silverstrand facilities, saunas and kota-hut for me to enjoy with plenty of firewood. Sea was frozen. Snow. Enough far from the main roads. Beautiful stars. I could imagine how one might find all said a source for anxiety, but it all really depends what you're looking for. I wanted quiet time in a comfortable setting. I got exactly what I bargained for. Hanko is considered as a summer town, which it definitely is. Winter can be windy, cold and hostile in many ways, especially next to the ocean. It was all that, especially windy, but then it's all about the right gear and mind set. I got a feeling of being up north on this visit.
