As we sat down to have lunch on our first day there was a sloth climbing down a tree with the volcano in the background.

Great room with jacuzzi. 2 tours were included, sloths on the property and an awesome evening walk with lots of frogs and even a snake. Breakfast included as well, free hot chocolaté and Coffee available 24h. Friendly staff and great food and breakfast. Loved it.

Each room here will provide you with cable TV, air conditioning and a terrace. A coffee machine is also offered. Featuring a shower, private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. You can enjoy the mountain and garden views. It was the best hotel during my entire trip. Some improvements and comments (see below) did not affect the overall rating and I would gladly stay there again. I loved the nature around the hotel which is well taken care of, you can clearly see great work of gardener. Also, taking care of animals (e.g. feeding birds) is a nice practice. The views to the volcano are amazing. Hot springs were the highlights of my staying - clear and warm water surrounded by lush green nature and flowers. I do not know if the hotel was full or not but there were always plenty of sun beds and spots in the hot springs. People also seem to respect the place as there is no noise. The lady who worked at the bar was extremely nice and helpful and she made the best cocktails (not sure the name Maya, or Maria?). She also helped me to spot the sloth near by. You could clearly see she enjoyed her work. The room was very spacious and clean with all required amenities. Extra point for availability of repellent. The staff at the reception and restaurant was very friendly and helpful. As a customer you get a nice gift - a hotel bag. I can definitely recommend Hotel El Silencio del Campo.

It's a perfect stay after a long flight! It is very closed to the airport located in a beautiful garden. so you can perfectly start your Costa Rica trip there. The breakfast was delicious and the stuff very friendly and helpful. We booked our car through the hotel. Bernie, the hotel owner, managed this for us in advance and the car was delivered in the morning directly to the hotel. This was great. We definitely recommend that hotel!

Incredible experience, amazing lodge and warm pool by the bar and the kindest staff. Highly recommended!

This resort has a beautiful setting outside Chachagua and 15 km from La Fortuna city center and 32 km from Arenal Volcano. The location is amazing, your own hire car is highly recommended. The resort is a unique nature experience with passionate welcoming staff. The hot springs, river, both restaurants, guided walks were all amazing. Only regret is not staying for 4 nights instead of two.

Chato Arenal Lodge has a nice breakfast with fresh fruits and an amazing view from the restaurant. The room was super clean and the beds were very comfortable, I loved that the hotel is at a walking distance from La Fortuna waterfalls and a five minutes drive from the downtown where you can have access to restaurants, cafes and the hot springs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Esteban was very helpful and shared with me some beautiful location that I can visit. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying at Chato Arenal on my next visit to Costa Rica.
