Sun Shade Resort truly stood out as our favourite accommodation during our Sri Lankan adventure. The experience was simply perfect, beginning with the delightful private pool right outside our room, offering a tranquil and romantic escape. Each evening, we were treated to an absolutely delicious buffet dinner, showcasing the best of Sri Lankan cuisine. Beyond the resort's impeccable amenities and dining, its location proved to be an excellent base for exploring the region's iconic attractions. We found it incredibly convenient to visit Sigiriya, Minneriya National Park, and Polonnaruwa. If you're looking for a relaxing, well-located, and truly memorable stay in Sri Lanka, Sun Shade Resort is an absolute must.

We had an absolutely amazing two-night stay at Hotel Karmel Sigiriya! From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, and a special mention goes to Mr. Maya, the General Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout the stay. The rooms were spotless—fresh, clean, and extremely comfortable, providing the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. The hotel is nestled in a lush, green environment that’s not only beautiful but also very kid-friendly, making it ideal for families looking for a peaceful getaway. One of the standout features was the authentic Sri Lankan cuisine—every meal was delicious and full of flavor. The hotel’s location is also perfect, just a short drive from the iconic Sigiriya Rock, which made sightseeing incredibly convenient. The staff were always on hand to offer helpful tips and guidance for our trips to Dambulla and Sigiriya. A real highlight of our stay was the wildlife safari arranged by the hotel—an unforgettable experience that we’ll always cherish! A huge thank you to all the staff, especially Mr. Maya, for making our visit so special. We would highly recommend Hotel Karmel Sigiriya to anyone planning a trip to this region. The Hotel greenery area overlooking the lake is spectacular. photos of the hotel public areas posted on booking.com is not doing enough justice.
