Beautiful, spacious and quiet hotel, all the details in furnishings seem right, you get the impression to be in someone’s actual house back in time. All staff is super friendly and attentive. Just a short walk from Galle centre, but in a very calm environment. Bonus: no plastic bottles, you get as much filtered water as you want.

The building is exceptionally beautiful! We had the luck to be upgraded to a room with garden view. The whole team was super kind and supportive. The chef prepares very delicious food, both for breakfast and for dinner, in case you chose to visit the connected beachclub across the road in the evening. Thank you for the hospitality!

My partner and I stayed in several hotels on our trip round Sri Lanka and the Prince of Galle was our favourite! Sedesh and the team made us feel so welcome, that this wonderful little boutique hotel felt like home for the three nights we stayed. The setting is superb, with all that Galle Fort has to offer within a short walk. The building and rooms have been beautifully restored, with tasteful attention to detail that pays homage to its historic setting. The dining area set around the tree and planted courtyard stunning, and we loved cooling off in the plunge pool at the end of hot day. The Five Star Breakfast absolutely lives up to its name and the iced teas are incredible. During our stay we both also enjoyed a relaxing 1hr massage at the hotel, which was a lovely way to finish our stay. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be staying at the Prince of Galle again when we return to Sri Lanka.

The villa has several communal sitting areas that are all very comfortable and beautifully furnished. The garden/ pool area is peaceful and even attracted a kingfisher bird. Our room and bathroom was large and the bed was perfect. The Sri Lankan breakfast option was delicious. The staff were attentive and always smiling.
