The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. Some units include a seating area where you can relax. Certain units feature views of the mountains or garden. Victorian House features free WiFi . We loved everything. Perfect. We had a family room, very neatly decorated, like the rest of the property. Comfortable, calming and pretty. There was tea and coffee in the room as well as all other hotel amenities. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Location was absolute best and breakfast was excellent. We will come back for sure.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. With free parking and free Wi-Fi, it serves hearty breakfasts cooked to order. Guests can swim in the property's off-site pool. Located in a perfect location within walking distance of a number of eating establishments Breakfast and staff were extremely helpful. Had a room on the top floor with a vertical spiral staircase. Ask for this room. Provided parking which was also a plus. The rate should have been higher as one could not ask for more. Would have paid more without a second thought.

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Very lovely place loved the view room was clean breakfast was nice

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car. 10 out of 10. The whole experience was fantastic especially since it was our Honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a better stay. I mentioned when booking for a jug of dairy free milk, which we received in the room but also in a fridge which from my understanding not all rooms come with, again this was going above the call of duty. The room was amazing and cleaned to perfection. We ordered room service which again was second to none and when we dined at the on site restaurant again absolutely fantastic. We've already suggested that we will be coming back next year for our first anniversary.

Windermere Hillthwaite Hotel has an elevated position and a terrace with stunning views towards Lake Windermere and the mountains beyond. Some rooms also have views towards the lake and mountains. There is also a guest lounge with a log fire and lake views. Everything was exceptional! The most beautiful hotel with the kindest staff in the perfect location! We shall visit the place again.

A 5-minute drive from Bassenthwaite Lake, Ravenstone Manor is an 19th-century manor house set in 3 hectares of ground. The property is at the foot of Skiddaw, overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake. It offers stone walls and en suite bathrooms. By far, one of my favourite places to stay! We loved the outdoor terrace, the spectacular views and the genuine staff! Not to mention, great breakfast! Also, loved the idea of having dogs allowed - there were so many around which really added to the wonderful ambience :)

For walkers, Ravenstone Lodge is at the start of some of the best Skiddaw walks, as well as being just 1 mile from the many walks around Dodd Wood. Keswick and Derwent Water are both just a 10-minute drive away, while the Western Lakes are around 30 minutes' drive. amazing location. Wonderful breakfast. rooms are big enough and modern. The hotel is walking distance from the city center. staff are so nice and the balcony is one of the best we have been. We did not want to leave the hotel! will definitely come back.

Situated in Maryport, 29 km from Buttermere and 34 km from Derwentwater Lake, Bells yard Cottage Maryport features accommodation with free WiFi in a historic building. This recently renovated apartment is located 23 km from Whinlatter Forest Park and 32 km from Cat Bells. The property is non-smoking and is set 23 km from Go Ape Whinlatter Forest Park. The property was warm and cozy! Really well decorated throughout .The property provided with everything we would need with an extra basket provided with little bits of different cereal which was a nice touch! Communication was great! Really easy to get in! We was warned about the stairs been steep but we didn't have an issue at all with stairs inside or outside these didn't affect us in any way!
