Located in Douglas and with Douglas Beach reachable within 70 metres, Halvard Hotel provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. I originally booked a courtyard room but decided to upgrade to a sea view room, we got one on the 2nd floor. We were greeted by the reception staff who told us about a few things like where the restaurant was. On entering our room I was very surprised by the size, it had double aspect windows one to a courtyard the other to a panoramic view of Douglas bay. The room itself was of superior quality, mood lighting to bedroom and bathroom, a sofa in the window, 2 armchairs facing the TV. Complimentary soft drinks, crisps and chocolate in the fridge, even a corkscrew next to the kettle. There was even 2 dressing gowns and slippers in the wardrobe. The breakfast was included as was cereals and continental breakfast and full hot breakfasts. You can also book an evening meal in their restaurant and they have a bar for drinks. Excellent friendly service from all the staff too. Brilliant location also close to shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely be booking here again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. The holiday home has an outdoor fireplace and a hot tub. Tim was very welcoming and helpful at all times. He showed us around on arrival and was on hand if we needed to ask how to work something. Very spacious property and tranquil location.

Robert and KC are wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. They made us feel completely comfortable and were very respectful of our space. We’d see them at just the right times – they never hovered or intruded, but always seemed to appear exactly when needed. We’d wake up to a lovely fresh breakfast, and when we returned later in the day, everything was clean and tidy – such a treat! The house is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with everything you could need for a comfortable family stay. There’s plenty of space for our two kids to run around, both inside and out. They especially loved the big trampoline and the lush green outdoor area – perfect for playing and exploring. The whole experience felt like visiting a warm, welcoming parents’ or grandparents’ home. On our last day, we were surprised with a delicious hot breakfast – a thoughtful touch that was very well received. Everything in the house was neat, clean, and well-equipped, making our stay easy and enjoyable. The location is about 8 km from Douglas, with a bus stop just 500 m away. It’s a bit of an uphill walk (about 300 m), but our young kids managed it without any trouble. We were able to catch direct buses to Port Erin and Douglas, and for Peel, it was an easy transfer in Douglas. The location worked well for us, though if you’re arriving with heavy luggage, we’d recommend a taxi to and from to the airport or Douglas – it’s affordable and saves the uphill walk. Our family didn’t want to leave – we truly felt at home. We will definitely return if we ever come back to the Isle of Man. Thank you, Robert and KC, for making our stay so special!

The host, Fiona and family is very helpful and nice. 2. The cottage is very spacious place both inside the cottage and outside, as it's a campsite. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked breakfast and dinner daily at cottage. 3. Very convenient location, few minutes drive to Douglas and the new Tesco.
