It is close to the University of Linköping (about a 20-30 min walk), and you must pass through a forest. It is worth staying here if you like rural style, nature, and scenes like a TV drama. An absolutely beautiful hotel in a great location between the train station and the city centre. I had a lovely view of the cathedral from my window and my room was beautifully decorated. The staff were so friendly and helpful and even though it was clearly busy with people staying for a sold out concert and what looked like multiple conferences every thing was clean and tidy and staff were never too busy to help. The breakfast was amazing with a great selection as a vegetarian I felt very well catered for. (If you are vegan it might be a little different as almost all the vegetarian options had a diary element but then I didn't ask. There might have been some dairy free options available on request)

Scandic Linköping Väst is close to the E4 and roads 34 and 36. When you stay at the hotel, you are close to Gamla Linköping, with charming old houses, Valla leisure area and the Air Force Museum.

The hotel has excellent staff, a wonderful breakfast (with great variety), and clean rooms. Shampoo and body wash is included. The experience is still as good as it was back in 2019, which is very impressive and commendable. The price was also quite reasonable.
