Everything! Casalay is a perfect get away from the hussle & bussle of Manila. It is perfectly situated and gves pictureques views. The room is lovely. The bathroom big and water pressure very good. Whaaat a wonderful stay we've had. So wonderful people, Macrina, Charles, Belle (and the guests Gary and Anthony). Leaving after three days and we already take them in our hearts. The breakfast is the best we've had in Philippines (even compared to much more expensive places). Macrina is a cook and an extraordinary one. She adapted for us eating vegetarian and not just anything to check the box, delicious food. We went to the karaoke with them at Macrinas restaurant and had a great night. Lots of laughs. The beach, 3 minutes walk, is great. We went snorkeling and enjoyed it. A stay we just won't forget.

Super helpful friendly host, the owner help us a lot. The location is great, near dive shop and restaurant supermarkets. Cozy and quiet place, I definitely will comeback again.

The main reason why you should book this property is the owner. Florian is a great guy who will invite you to join him and his friends for trips or beers. The place is circa 200 meters from the beach which is perfect because it’s really calm and quite there. And the in-house restaurant is really good and cheap. Florian is a pro chef/butcher and it shows.

This is a small hotel ran by mostly family with a few staff. This gives the hotel a very comfortable and homey feel. The breakfast options are all delicious especially the tocino and longganisa (they don't use red food dye!) All the staff and owners are wonderful and my family had such a cozy stay. The shuttle service to the beach was always available and the staff went above and beyond to help me get a cake for my dad at 11pm at night.

Everything about the place was really lovely, the location, atmosphere and facilities, but the staff were exceptional in going out of their way to organise us a taxi to our next destination with a reasonable price. The breakfast was also lovely, and it was very easy to get to the lodge from Balatero Port as there was a private driver there already. Overall wonderful stay in every way, I’m very glad to have chosen this place and would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting Puerto Galera
