Owaka Lodge was a great overnight stop, in a small hamlet. It was clean, plenty of hot water. Gaynor is an excellent hostess, very chatty and the buns were a bonus

Guests staying at Catlins Newhaven Holiday Park are a 5-minute walk from Surat Bay, a long sand beach in Newhaven, where you may be lucky enough to see a Hooker Sea Lion.

Really well set up with everything you’ll need. Two bathrooms. Laundry. Pool table!! Decent size pots and pans, gas stove. Epic view.
