A Stunning Property in Bhaktapur! Hotel Yechu is truly one of the finest properties in Bhaktapur. While it is a little farther from Durbar Square, the breathtaking architecture makes it well worth the visit. The hotel room, location, and service were excellent. The staff could not do enough for us and were extremely attentive. The hotel is a about 300 meters from the main entrance of the old city.

It's a family home and probably the best accomodation I have had in Nepal since I arrived about a month ago. It's spotlessly clean and a very safe place to stay. I loved the family atmosphere and I enjoyed my interaction with them all very much. They made me feel very at home. I arranged to have full board (I'm not sure this is standard though) and the food was excellent. It's not far from Baktapur Durbar Square, half an hour walk. It's not too far from the centre of Kathmandhu (a taxi/bus ride) and by far a better place to stay than in the city.

Nice, clean rooms. Shared kitchen is great also as they aren't too common in Nepal I feel. The atmosphere with it being private rooms in a shared communal space is great, friendly and communal so you chat with other guests but you have more privacy and is generally a bit more relaxed than in a hostel. Shekhar is a great host who will show you local food and culture also! Highlights - rooftop fire night and watching the world cup match + what might be the coldest beer I've ever had!
