Secret Paradise is a beautiful wooden cabin surrounded by nature right by the sea. Malika and her family make sure everything is perfect – from cleanliness and service to excellent local cuisine. It’s a very peaceful place to relax, yet close to more touristy areas like Arugam Bay (about 20 minutes by tuk-tuk). We’ll come back as soon as we can, it was amazing!!!

The owner was super friendly and an amazing cook! Everything was great — the place is quiet and relaxing, a perfect spot away from the busy Arugam bay. The only downside was that we had quite a lot of ants in the bathroom at night. Other than that, it was a lovely stay!

A wonderful place to stay, perfectly located just outside the busy tourist area, offering fantastic value. Close to empty and wide beach and surf areas around crocodile (5 min walk) and elephant rocks. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and went above and beyond with their hospitality and delicious meals. The rooms are spotless and modern. An absolutely delightful stay – highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the Salty Alchemy during our time in Arugam Bay. We stayed in the Cabana which was super cozy and had a beautiful interior design. We loved to be surrounded by so many dogs all the time, especially when enjoying the sunrise on the beach . However, you cannot swim at this place, but have to walk a bit to Arugam Bay main point. Another place where you can swim can be reached by TukTuk and is called Peanut Farm Beach, which is way less crowded compared to Arugam Bay. We also really appreciated the location of the accommodation away from all the noise and parties. All in all we can only recommend staying here!
