Keys were easy to collect. The host gave plenty of information by text message. The property is clean and spacious. It had everything you need for cooking, washing and sleeping. Garbage bins are in every room as well for convenience. It has a concrete yard where we did a BBQ and fireworks. There is a very natural area 100 metres away where you can walk on the beach of lake Biwa. Good access to Kyoto and North coast. McDonalds and Conbini 5 mins drive away. I would rate 9/10 but I am giving a bonus point because I left my scuba mask and the kind host took time to send it back to my house. Excellent!

We had a great stay in this traditional little house ! Everything is clean, the kitchen is very well equipped, we loved the bathroom with a view of the surrounding fields and mountains. The family is lovely and has a great sense of hospitality. We will come back !

Each room has a lake view and is beautifully furnished. The Onsen are well equipped and you can sit in them while enjoying the view on the lake with a fresh breeze coming your way. Although somewhat limited in English, the staff was very committed to helping us in any matter. Definitely recommend visiting the lounge on the 10th floor for drinks (some are free in the evening) and a very pretty small shop, full of locally sourced products (culinary and small arts). After our evening Onsen round, the hotel offered amazing Soba to close the night. We took the breakfast in the morning and were not disappointed, as it features plenty of very delicious options.
