It is a very cozy, well equiped and big Apartment. It has everything you might need. The Host Takashi san is also very nice and has a massive collection of Vinyls that you can borrow and listen to. The neighborhood is quiet and there are Restaurants and Shops within Walking distance. Also the JR Station is 5 minutes away so you can get easily to the Nakasendo Trail. We would recommend staying in the guesthouse.

We arrived on a Wednesday and the cafe was closed so it was very quiet and peaceful. The door to the cafe was open and there was a welcome sign with our name on it as we approached the back where the stay is located. There were very nice dishes, glasses, coffee cups, etc. The bunk beds were comfortable and the drapes for privacy were a plus. We went for a sake tasting down the street which was simple but nice. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back and stay longer. If you’re eating in town, you must make reservations!

Beautiful private house in a charming small town. The owner, like the rest of the locals, were overwhelmingly kind. Kanoko also left us some deer jerky from their hunting, which was absolutely delicious.

The hotel is an authentic Japanese house with two stories, a kitchen, and full amenities. It can comfortably accommodate up to ten people. Since we were only four, we had plenty of space and truly enjoyed the unique experience of staying in a traditional home with a garden in a regular neighborhood.
