Sadly, 10/10 is the highest note you can give on booking. I would have given more if I could! The owner is super nice, very friendly and shares tips and info with you wholeheartedly. The house where the guesthouse is located is an old Icelandic house, the decoration is really cute and charming, the whole place is super clean and cozy. The location is in the center of Husavik. Everything is spotless. The breakfast is really good, it is not included in most fares but I recommend getting it! There is free parking behind the guesthouse and on the street if the place is fully booked! Husavik can be done on foot from the location! I'll stay again for sure if I come back to Husavik!

This is a truly fabulous place, completely dark and quiet, and we were incredibly privileged to see the northern lights for three September nights on the trot, getting brighter each night. The cabin is well-equipped, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We did not use the BBQ or outdoor heaters but they were there if we had wished to use them. We went whale watching, and GeoSea (hubby not sure if he fancied it, but we went when it opened and it was lovely and quiet. Very nice spa as it is sea water and so does not smell like sulphur... in case the smell bothers you. Hubby agreed afterwards that it was a highlight of our holiday).

The area the house is located, the warm welcome, the adorable dogs. I were the only guest on both nights, so I had the whole house for myself. In the kitchen everything is high quality (silverware, plates, cooking pots and pans...etc). Bed was comfortable too and the whole house was very warm and cozy. It was clean and very tidy. Felt like a home 🙂 I would definitely stay here again.

The exterior part of this guesthouse was being renovated but don't let this surprise you in a negative way. The interior however is as brand as new. Our room was very comfy and everything was fully renovated. It is a nice place to stay in the northern region of Iceland.

We had a wonderful stay at this property this New Years. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The restaurant was supposed to be closed but they made an exception specifically for us, providing delicious food. It was overall a very pleasant experience!
