the house is owned by the lovely Maria who welcomed us with freshly made lemonade. Maria is a very kind woman who speaks perfect English and was able to accommodate all our questions. she did not pressure us at all in leaving the room and we enjoyed every minute of the stay after checkout on the garden which is literally on the beach!! beds were very comfortable and the view amazing! air conditioning perfectly working

We were welcomed by Elena the owner and she had maid the best spinach pie and chocolate cake. The place was at a perfect location right by the beach at the Main Street. The apartment pictures at booking.com and reality did not disappoint us. The terrace from apartment nr 7 had a great view and was our favorite place to sit during the evening. Thanks a lot for the hospitality Elena and we may come back one day in the future 🌸

Excellent stay, kind, warm, welcome. Exceeds our expectations. Very cozy, clean and comfortable. Quiet and peaceful place close to nature, garden with oranges and lemons, mountain view. Very friendly and smart dog and cat on the territory, our 2 kids got really attached to. Location is good, close Kalyves beach, Kaurnas lake with turtles, folklore museum of Gavalochori. Home is really lovely, hosts put a lot of thought and care into making it a comfortable and welcoming space inside and outside of the house. We especially love the way it's decorated. ❤️

The house has been renovated to a very high standard and is immaculate throughout. It is full of traditional style and very tastefully furnished. There is much evidence of the generations of family woodworking skills. Cretan hospitality welcomes you. All the rooms are comfortable, spacious, light and airy. The roof terrace is a wonderful place to sit at any time of day or night with superb views of the surrounding mountains. It is just a short 2 minute walk to the central square with tavernas offering excellent food. The host, Andreas, is very friendly and helpful, speaks English and has a wealth of knowledge about the village and Cretan life.
