The whole building is beautifully finished and maintained. Marco and the team are charming, hospitable and hugely helpful. The communal spaces are lovely and allow travellers to share experiences and advice in comfort. The location is the best in Alausí. The town itself is low key and charming. A great place to decompress from more 'tick list' tourist places. It's very possible that the only non Ecuadorians you'll meet in Alausí will be staying with you here. Alausí is also a good base for walking including to Nariz del Diablo (around 13km return trip) where we met traditionally dressed locals working the fields and saw an 'Andean Wolf' (Culpeo).

I'm trying to think of things I didn't like about my two night stay at the Europa but I can't. Everything was fine and this place is therefore amazing value for money. Big room, big, comfy bed, hot shower, private parking. It was all fine. The place is located on the main street of Alausi but the room was amazingly quiet. Breakfast is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. If you are going to Alausi I doubt you'll find better than here.

A very clean and hotel with an excellent view. There is secure and everything is within easy walking distance. My room was comfortable with good hot water.
