The lodge was set in beautiful gardens and lovely surrounding area in the mountains. The room was so lovely. Loved the terrace with hummingbird feeder on so we could watch the birds through the window whilst sat in bed. Everything about the place was well thought out, clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast was really nice and they have a restaurant serving excellent food in the evening. The place is run by a lovely husband and wife team who were very friendly, spoke excellent English and were very interesting to talk to about the local area and life in Costa Rica. They were very attentive to our every need, constantly checking we were happy. We arrived early so parked the car there and went for a walk down the road. We were very impressed that they came to find us and collect us in their car when it started raining hard. They then put on a fire and made coffee for us so we could warm up. They made our last night in Costa Rica very special and we would strongly recommend anyone to stay there.

This place is a gem: a wonderful eco-lodge in the midst of primary rainforest. You can trek straight out of the lodge along several trails, or sit with a coffee watching the hummingbirds. A highlight for us was seeing the resplendent quetzal from the lodge. The food is fantastic, freshly cooked and super healthy. The owner Berdich took us on a walk and pointed out the birds and plants; he is super knowledgeable and passionate about the environment. I can't recommend this place highly enough, it's a gem. We arrived by bus; it's 200m walk from the bus stop.

This was our last stop of a 3-week round trip and a great stop it was. Temperatures are cool at night, chalets are cosy and the showers are warm in the morning (not a given in Costa Rica). The restaurant is exceptional combined with great wines. Great value for money! Including the restaurant.

Our stay in this beautiful corner of paradise was simply perfect! The wooden cabins, nestled in nature, offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The view of the mountains is breathtaking, truly a spectacle at any time of day. We really appreciated the tranquility of the place. Beautiful location lots of birds. Lovely peicate hiking trails. So many hummingbirds! Road is narrow and very steep so if driving expect to have to pull over for other cars passing and tight turns and steep grade.

Great food and outstanding service. Felt completely welcomed. Was very focused on us having a pleasant stay, including the children. Really good with children! The food was excellent! - fresh, tasty and fulfilling. The view from the lodge and from the road up to the lecheria are amazing.
