Everything! Beautifully designed, new bungalows in the middle of a tranquil oasis of a garden with delightful pool. Also with private outdoor shower! The staff was super friendly and helpful. Some other travellers mentioned it was far from the center but it wasn’t an issue for me, I walked every day and it was about 35 minutes along the beach. Would highly recommend if you want to stay in a beautiful hotel in the middle of nature and have a great night’s sleep while being close to Puerto Viejo.

A very warm welcome to a beautiful place. Perfect start for our trip. Kim is such a beautiful soul along with her Mom and the doggies. The breakfast was also lovely.

This place is a hidden gem! We totally loved the natural environment, in the middle of the jungle. It’s so secluded and nice. The owner tries her best really well and she’s the most friendly host you will meet. The has a spectaculair eye for detail. There are plants, animals, sounds of the jungle: everything you would expect given the pretty location, we loved it and would recommend!

I loved my stay at La Tribu, it’s an amazing hostel and I was so relaxed there. Well equipped kitchen, beautiful common area, really friendly employees, bike rental (for 6$), everything in town is in close walking distance. I didn’t even mind to share the room with 7 others because there are toilets and showers outside in addition to the room’s bathroom.

The grounds are lovely and I especially liked the pool and the verandah. Room was perfect. When I ran into some problems the owner and her daughter went out of their way to help me, for which I’m very grateful.

The property managers were really helpful and made our trip a lovely stay. The location of the house was perfect for spending time on the beach and walking into town.
