Utterly utterly basic. Barefoot luxury without the luxury. The wooden planks which make the walls of the huts have spaces between them for ventilation. Nothing in the room except a bed (and mosquito net), a shelf and a table. Hammocks on the verandah and the sea is right there - wonderful. You get there by small boat (with outboard motor) from Nuqui - the tourist jetty is a short walk from the airport and the people where you pay your airport tax made sure we were passed into the care of someone who saw us onto the right boat. It took 50 minutes. Wear shorts - there is no jetty and you disembark by stepping off into the water. The kitchen/dining area has a low concrete wall around it and a tin roof. The food is simple but we thought it was delicious (lots of fish - ceviche, stew and grilled). The staff are lovely - friendly and helpful, and take care to speak simple Spanish to help us understand. We enjoyed whale watching from a small boat. All very simple and undeveloped. A perfect place for blissful downtime and going to sleep to the sound of the waves. Utterly utterly wonderful!

Amelia was so welcoming and the property is in a lovely location close to the beach. The best part about our stay was the incredible dishes Amelia prepared - the tastiest and most varied food we’ve had during our time in Colombia. Amelia organised us a couple of tours and gave us the information and contacts we needed.

The best place we stayed at in Colombia!! It’s such a magical place and I would recommend it to all my friends or family visiting Nuquí. The rooms were spacious and made you feel part of nature. Deconnecting was never so easy. The food that was prepared for us was fresh and so tasty. The staff was incredible, we also met the owner and we loved the story of how he started the hotel. We were able to do some nice activities such as whale watching which was just incredible :-) At Luzul you really feel welcome!

El Vijo is a paradise, I would especially recommend it for groups and couples. It is about a 20 mins walk to the next (very) small village, although the walk is not always possible due to the tide. Adolpho and Deude did an amazing job. The food was delicious and Adolpho very kind and helpful. As a solo traveller I would recommend somewhere else but for couples seeking tranquility or groups of friends looking for an amazing experience I would highly recommend it. Looking forward to my next stay there.

It was the best Ecotourism resort I have ever been. It is a true ecotourism resort embedded in the most stunning and beautiful location you can imagine. You see the whales from the garden. Nicole is very welcoming and organises everything to perfection. Her cocktails are amazing. Jazz is very engaged in protecting the prime forest in the reserve and will guide you! The kitchen is providing you with fresh ingredients from the garden and the sea and her dishes are wonderful. You can have beautiful day trips, go surfing and swimming or just relax! I can highly recommend to come here! You will have a unforgettable time!

We have just spent 5 unforgettable days in Bahia Terco! Between the jungle and the ocean, we find this haven of peace! Claudia's kindness and Francisco's humor made this trip a wonderful one. Many thanks to Mirka and her fabulous cooking. Every dish from breakfast to dinner was perfect and above all local! Flavors you won't forget. In this place, we find Colombia as we dream of it, silence, nature. Francisco and Claudia helped us organize everything from the arrival from the airport, the activities, until the return. We shared moments together and an outing with them, to discuss everything, life, to learn from their daily lives! What happiness. We saw whales and the first swim of turtles! It is a place that I recommend 100%. If you are looking for a quiet place, with a heavenly beach, you have found the ideal hotel!! A huge crush ! Amis français, fonçez !
