This hotel has an ideal location: a short walk from the Kaohsiung Main Train Station, a slightly longer walk from the Formosa MRT stop and very close to one of the night markets. The rooms are modern and very clean. The staff, especially the breakfast staff, were very friendly and helpful.
They offer free snacks and drinks in the afternoon with a happy hour from 18:00-19:00, a really nice bonus!

Brio Hotel is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Taiwan. All the staffs are helpful and courteous. We were very pleasantly surprised the hotel provide good snacks: many different types of crackers but my favorite were delicious coconut crackers and chocolate ice-cream, all kind of juices, fancy coffee machine…all 24/7 and light appetizer for late afternoon and late evening with delicious chicken salad, spicy tomato angel hair pasta and few others. Another favorite was Brio bedding: softest and smoothest sheets I have ever encountered in Hotels. Location was excellent right by metro.

Todd was an amazing host and super friendly. He was great to chat with over breakfast. The location is excellent and although the Inn is right on the same street as a night market, the room was quiet and peaceful. We loved our stay.
Just a 50 metres away from MRT Formosa Boulevard Station (Exit 1), Trip GG Hostel provides a non-smoking living space in Kaohsiung. Free WiFi is available throughout the property.

What a great place. I arrived from Kaohsiung airport quite late and after checking in was closed. But I was still able to get in. The hostess had contacted me to let me know where the keys to my room were, unfortunately I didn't have internet so I couldn't see her messages. If you find yourself without internet and in the same situation as me, just look around in the first floor and it should be good (be sure to tell the hostess in advance if you are arriving late).
I had a good sleep, in a nice small room. It was cosy, and was great for one person. My card was not working propperly (due to an error on my end) but if you can pay in cash then all works great.
Wonderful hospitality, and it's a great place to stay if you want to visit Kaohsiung or you just need a place to stay for the night. Would 100% go back if I am in town again.

The hostel is very clean and has a great common room to hang out. The staff was very nice and helpful. I recommend you to take the Exit 9 (beware it has only stairs no escalator) when you arrive at Formosa Boulevard. The nightmarket is also around the corner.
