The cleanest hotel I stayed at in Sri Lanka! The owner welcomed us with an excellent Italian coffee, loved the breakfast, the location, the rooms, the vibe. Highly recommended!

Ann and her team were perfect hosts. We felt very welcome from the very first moment until we left. “Home away from home”! And just on top the brunch/breakfast was amazing! Every day something different and all soooo good!

Our experience at this property was nothing short of incredible. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for, as though we were guests in a home filled with warmth and charm. This place is unlike any other—a true oasis where you can completely immerse yourself in the vacation spirit. Every detail has been so thoughtfully designed and curated, creating an environment that is both stylish and comfortable. The house has a distinct and beautiful design that blends effortlessly with the natural surroundings, giving it a unique character that made our stay unforgettable. The pool is undoubtedly the cherry on top. After a day exploring the area or even just lounging around, it was the perfect place to unwind, cool off, and enjoy some quiet moments. You could easily spend the entire day here, relaxing and taking in the serene atmosphere. The location is also excellent—just a stone's throw away from Galle Fort and within a very short distance of the beach, offering the best of both worlds. Whether you’re looking to explore the historic sights, soak in the vibrant local culture, or simply relax by the sea, everything is conveniently close. Our stay exceeded all expectations. The level of care and attention from the staff was impeccable—they were well-trained, friendly, and attentive to our every need. It’s evident that they take pride in making every guest feel at home, and it truly elevated our experience. On top of all this, the accommodations themselves were outstanding. The rooms were spotless and beautifully furnished, creating a space that was both elegant and inviting. This wasn’t just a stay; it was an experience that made us feel completely rejuvenated. This is by far the best accommodation we’ve had in all our travels across Asia. I recommend this property to anyone planning a visit to Galle, you won’t regret it. And as for us, this has become a must-visit destination, and we’ll definitely be returning whenever we’re back in Galle.

Very tranquil and the pools were lovely to use and very clean. The man at the entrance gate was friendly and very attentive, it made us feel very safe.

First of all, in reality AURORA is much more beautiful than on the pictures! Rooms are very spacious and cozy, bathrooms on the floor amazing, balconies with the view on the green plants - just wow! AC perfectly working. Hot water with great pressure. Breakfasts were tasty, with fruits, toasts, fried eggs, fresh juice. Swimming pool - really nice. And of course AURORA Team - so nice, helpful and always smiling :) Our little son Theo loved them so much!

Modern and luxurious hotel with spectacular views. The sea view room was beautiful and clean. The breakfast was the best we had so far in Sri Lanka. You get amazing coffee from Jura machine and a great continental breakfast. This was the first place I got chocolate cereal 😄. We ordered from room service and the food was really good, especially the fries. The staff is very helpful and friendly and they even offered us to use the spa shower after the checkout, because we are leaving in the evening and left our bags there for the day.

Fantastic resort in the middle of the lush jungle but also close to some of the beautiful beaches of Galle. The resort and room were impeccably presented and complimented by a lovely team who were always happy to help. Special mention to Upeka for her great advice and assistance as well as Tarindu for the excellent tuktuk service. Highly recommended this place for a super relaxed getaway

I really liked the location, however, you need to take a tuktuk to go to the center. The hotel is located rather on the outskirts of Unawaruna, but it's good as it was quiet and calm. Breakfast was very good: pancakes, eggs, fruts, toasts etc. The swimming pool is a gem! Big, warm water and open in the evening so you may swim before going to bed, very nice. There are lizards and bunnies in the garden. If you're lucky bunnies might accompany you during breakfast. In general, it the place is amazing, but I would rather recommend to avoid rooms with garden view on the ground floor. This is the room we got in the beginning but we decided to upgrade as it was very dark (like in the middle of the night), basically no view, and small. Also, an open bathroom is not always a good choice - it will be mess after rain or wind, bugs and leaves inside. After an upgrade, it was awesome and the price difference was small, it was worth an upgrade.

However, what truly set Villa Rumassala apart was its exceptional staff, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Menaka, in particular, epitomized hospitality with her warm demeanor and attention to detail. Her genuine care for our comfort and satisfaction truly made us feel like royalty. Additionally, we cannot speak highly enough of the Tuktuk driver, Sandaru, whose fair prices and friendly demeanor made exploring the area a breeze. His knowledge of the area and willingness to accommodate our preferences enhanced our overall experience immensely. In conclusion, our time at Villa Rumassala was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, every moment was crafted with care and attention to detail. Great location. The room was not large but adequate for us. The breakfast was wonderful. Fresh fruit omelet, toast, yogurt, and juice. Pool was an added bonus before breakfast and on return from day out. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. With only 4 rooms it is not crowded. 100% would stay again
