The room was tastefully decorated,spacious for 3 with a very nice bathroom!!! The staff was very friendly and polite!! The breakfast was the highlight of our stay!!!! Great quality of Japanese and west type food The place was very close to Kyoto station and this was also very convenient!!!(in case you use taxi to go to the center of Kyoto the price is around 1000 💴) We will definitely come back!!!

One gets the feeling that if this was not an apart-hotel, it would be an upscale Japanese condo. It’s very well located, a 10 minute (for us) walk from the Kyoto rail station, next to a four-story AEON mall which has a reasonable food court and a full range grocery store. Close to Kyoto’s excellent public bus system. Security is good (but see negative comment below), with deadbolt and high security key access. Apartments are sizeable, and there are only two apartments on each floor, separated by an elevator, so noise is not a problem. The Booking website shows the room layout accurately. Rooms are a good size, but note no storage, only hangers. Bed is comfortable, with duvets. Toilet is separate from the bathroom, a handy feature; note, however, that the toilet is in a very compact room – think Boeing 737MAX size, and mobility challenged people may have an issue. The bathroom itself allows freedom of movement. There’s a tub, with separate shower. Shower pressure and volume is excellent, and there’s good lighting in the washbasin area. The apartment has been very recently built or redone; very little evidence of wear. Staff are very friendly and congenial, with very good skill in English. Unit was spotlessly clean. Lighting in all the living areas was excellent, making for easy reading or board game playing in the evenings. Wifi was acceptable for our use, but not exceptionally fast, at 5 Mbps early on a Sunday morning. The TV in the kitchen/dining/living area was huge, and we enjoyed the ability to use our Netflix and Amazon Prime memberships, given that we couldn’t find any English language programs on the satellite channels. Air conditioning is provided by ductless units in the living and bedroom areas; they worked effectively and silently. The washing machine worked well; kudos to management for including detailed instructions in English, something many other places lack. Clothes drying is by rack. Very welcoming hotel and hotel staff, with all amenities including pajamas. There's washing machines where you can do the laundry for a small cost. In the evening you can have a glass of wine in the restaurant or a tea. The location is also good, close by train stations and bus stops. Overall I think it was our preferred stay in Japan

Everything was perfect and super convenient; the location is amazing, the washer/dryer in the room is great for longer stays and the breakfast was delicious. To add, the interior design is very cool and unique, the bed was one of the most comfortable ones I've ever slept in and the bathroom amenities were really nice as well. I'm happy to have found a hotel that I would 100% stay at again on a future trip.

The location is excellent. It is near Toji Station, and there is a bus stop near the entrance. The view of Toji Temple greets you every morning and is majestic at night. There are multiple convenience stores near the property. The room is very spacious; it is not cramped at all. Considering the money I paid, I can say this is a great value for the price. The host is very responsive and kind; we were able to leave our luggage at Kyostay Toji Main when we checked out and returned for it later.
