Staying at Sottoassisi - Guest House was an exceptional experience. The location is ideal — right in the historic center of Assisi, close to major landmarks like the Basilica of Saint Francis, yet quiet and peaceful for a restful stay. The guest house is full of charm, with beautifully preserved details and modern amenities. My room was spotlessly clean, cozy, and tastefully furnished. The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-equipped. I used Sottoassisi as a base to explore a wide range of Umbrian towns and cities, and it worked perfectly for that purpose. From here, I visited Perugia, Orvieto, Gubbio, Foligno, Città di Castello, Spello, Spoleto, and Trevi — all within a reasonable driving distance or accessible by train. Each day ended with a peaceful return to Assisi, making it the perfect anchor for my Umbrian adventure. The hosts were warm, friendly, and genuinely dedicated to making guests feel at home. They provided excellent recommendations and were always available for any questions or needs. If you're planning to explore Umbria, I can't recommend Sottoassisi - Guest House enough. It combines comfort, location, and hospitality in a truly unforgettable way.

This B&B is so beautiful, every detail is just amazing! Our host was super kind and friendly! She stood up so late to receive us, we had a delayed train so we arrived way later than expected. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and with a lot of options! They made the coffee for you and it was the best! We would have love staying longer there it was so nice!

It was one of the best places that we have stoped in Italy. The room was very clean and cozy. Maria and Carlo are very warmth, helpful and communicative people. They also gave us recommendations on bars and restaurants. The room is in very good location. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful. It’s quiet and near the bus station.

Excellent staff and very welcoming. Always willing to help when asked ie. restaurant bookings, travel advice, transport information etc. I had to extend my stay at late notice. Was no problem, and the hotel was able to meet the same rates as my original booking and teh bonus of not having to move rooms. I would strongly refer those travelling to Assisi to try this hotel. This place is a great idea for those visiting Assisi! It’s fully renovated, extremely comfortable and clean! We were a group of 7 people and we were all very satisfied with our staying! Can’t help on mentioning Barbara, the host, she is a lovely person, and the recommendations she made were very important during our visit!
