We really appreciated location of the hotel, situated in the calm area near the U-bahn station (app. 5. min walk). The hotel personnel was great and helpful and the breakfast was tasty.

I had a lovely room with window to the inner yard, vintage furniture and a bathtub, which was one of the highlights of my trip. Lovely staff, comfy bed, cannot tell you about breakfast as I am very picky, but there is plenty to chose from, fruit, pastry, oatmeal, yoghurts, juices, tea/coffee, boiled eggs from what I recall. Walking down the hall to the rooms you can feel the genius loci. I just loved it.

The staff make the hotel. And they are the best staff in Hamburg. Especially Lucas, one of the youngest, the barman at Theos, and one to watch in the Hotel industry. He is fantastic.

The staff were excellent, very polite and helpful. The location, given the purpose of my visit is excellent. I believe this is my fourth or fifth stay in this hotel and I will certainly return. It is a very quiet hotel with good housekeeping.

Amazing and historical place, very close to the subway (and to a line that is connected to the train station and main attractions), fantastic service. The house is wonderful, chic, super cozy and clean, and Sebastian was a great host, making sure everything was the best possible for us, and allowing us to leave our luggage there before check-in and after check-out. Also great at communication. We could also use the kitchen and garden, which was great. Besides tableware, wine glasses etc., we could use the coffee and tea machine. The shower was exceptional. We felt very welcomed and would recommend it to everyone.

This hotel occupies a mid-19th century Hanseatic building, in the popular district of Harvestehude and lies close to the Alster lake, Dammtor railway station and the exhibition grounds.

Nicely styled place to stay in a lovely quiet neighborhood. Close to the university, the Alser and the center. I thought the breakfast was high quality.
