Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The room was big,very well equipped,clean and the service was excellent.

Head over Hills is an exclusive retreat in Knysna. Set on the jagged edge of the famous rocky cliffs of the Knysna Heads, this well-appointed guest house has a heated swimming pool. I LOVED the croissants...they are Devine. Dinner was fine, but the menu is limited. For a small establishment I got to understand why the dinner menu was so limited in choice.

Located in Keurboomstrand, Singing Kettle Beach Lodge features panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and has an à la carte restaurant, terrace and free WiFi. Location, location, what a spot! If you are looking to be away from the city, on the water and having access to a restaurant on site, this is the place to go. There are several other restaurants near by but will need to drive. Service is top notch, they have though of every details.

Offering views of the Keurboom Lagoon and the ocean, La Vista Lodge is a 3-minute drive from the centre of Plettenberg Bay. It features an outdoor pool with sun loungers. I like the space of the suite and the service provider was so helpful

Overlooking the Indian ocean, Dune Beach House is set on the beachfront in Wilderness. It features an outdoor pool and free Wi-Fi access is available throughout. Views were stunning - lovely furniture and art work and Bernie was great welcoming and hosting us - thanks to Gary too for creating such an interesting and wonderfullly art filled guest house

Offering an outdoor pool and a cosy lounge and bar, Parkes Manor is a classic, historical house located within 2 km from the Knysna Waterfront. This colonial style building and grounds are in a beautiful scenic setting. Comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Fantastic home cooked evening meal by Josephine, the wife had a steak cooked to perfection, and I had the lamb curry. The breakfasts are to die for. The property is close (20 mins) to the wonderful remote, not busy Buffalo beach with an endless sandy beach and shallow clean water. The UrbanGirl cafe/restaurant is superb and is 10 minutes drive away. The Muse cocktail bar is 10 mins walk away and has a lovely garden to enjoy good priced food and drinks.

This is a very special place on the planet. The views are simply stunning, only rivaled by the warm hospitality, impeccable linens and mouth-watering breakfasts.

Featuring a sea-facing sun deck, this beachfront guesthouse offers direct access to the sandy white beaches of Wilderness. It offers spacious rooms with a balcony and free Wi-Fi access. The view from the breakfast area is amazing. The guesthouse is 2min walk from the beach. We had the beach all to ourselves. It was an amazing stay and we'll definitely be back.

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. Clean, amazingly helpful and friendly staff, great location and fabulous breakfast.

Falcons View Manor is situated on a hill overlooking Knysna Lagoon, 700 metres from the town centre. It features an outdoor pool, a library and free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel. The Manor House is stunning and a lovely place to stay. Sue and Danelle were very warm and welcoming, the rooms are very spacious and classy and the view over Knysna is wonderful. Breakfast was delicious and the dinner was exceptional. A we'll managed venue and although it was very brief, we were always made to feel very welcome and we really enjoyed our short stay.
