Selemie downtown and the beach is 10-15 min walking distance, but keep in mind to come back you will need to go up the hill which can be a little bit hard. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Efe, the manager, was incredibly friendly and helped me arrange ferries and taxis with ease. The front desk always had someone available, and the night receptionist, Ur, was both super friendly and hilariously entertaining. Breakfast was a highlight of my mornings, thanks to two kind women who cheerfully prepared eggs or omelets to order. And then there was Uxel, the New Jersey man who was an absolute hoot! His energy, humor, and constant coffee refills brought such life to the mornings. The breakfast spread was fantastic, offering meats, cheeses, cereal, toast, eggs, pancakes, and more. Even in the off-season, the quiet atmosphere was a bonus, making it easy to relax. The hotel’s location is perfect—a short walk to the beach and surrounded by charming shops, including one with authentic Turkish baklava and another offering delicious local food. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, but it was truly the people who made this stay unforgettable. I felt more welcomed here than anywhere else I’ve traveled. I’d return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!
