Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Casa das Proteas is located at Estrada das Covas nº8, São Jorge, Madeira Island, 50 km from Funchal. The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes. Breakfast was very complete and delicious. Staff was amazing, very kind and friendly. Dinners were top star. Location peaceful and beautiful.

Amazing property, facilities and staff. It feels both comfortable and very safe to stay there with our two small dogs. Already looking forward to our stay next year!

Set within tropical gardens on Madeira Island, this charming guesthouse features far-reaching sea views and 2 outdoor seawater pools and access to the sea. Incredible location. Breakfast had such a variety of food and delicious! Everyone was so kind! Nice size room as well, shower and tub!

It's a magical place. We loved every second we spent there. It's like a dreamy sanctuary in Balinese style. Staff is very kind and helpful. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed sauna too. Private outdoor bathtube was amazing.
