The location is excellent as a starting point for several hikes.

It features an outdoor pool with solarium and sun loungers. Teresa is the best host we ever had, she was sweet and very welcoming. Breakfast she made was excellent, fresh scrambled eggs and french toast. We also tried her tasty homemade jam. The view of the ocean from the property is amazing. Room was clean and nice with a large balcony. Can’t wait to come back for more days.

Perched on a cliff facing the Atlantic Ocean, this design hotel is within a renovated traditional farmhouse. Set on Madeira’s South Coast, Ponta do Sol has a stunning infinity pool and hot tub with panoramic views. Beautiful views, friendly and attentive staff, very nice breakfast. We were there at the beginning of January and were able to enjoy the outdoor pool and ocean views. We had a car (which we recommend so you have the freedom to explore the whole island) and there is free parking available below the hotel on the street with a lift up to the hotel. We will definitely book in again if we come back to Madeira.

The hotel has a year-round outdoor pool and hot tub, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. Great location, breakfast, staff, rooms… No complaints, thank you! Pool opening times could be longer to accommodate people returning from trips.

All rooms and apartments of the Golden Residence are equipped with air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a kettle. Some rooms have side views of the North Atlantic Ocean. Apartments feature a living area with a kitchenette. The aerobus and the city bus have a stop right in front of the hotel. Facilities are top, good views, good breakfast buffet. Value for money. Wifi was available all the time.

This restored Madeiran mansion is located 900 metres from Funchal's Old Town and has scenic views of the sea, the city and the mountains from its own botanical gardens and terraces. Free WiFi and free covered private parking are available. The Hotel was the best decision we could have made. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, courteous and cordial. Never felt so well and welcome in a Hotel ever before. The breakfast was more than delicious and they Even had glutenfree options for my partner. It was a big big pleasure to stay here. A big thanks to the staff for making our stay so comfortable and unforgetable! :)

The rooms’ balconies offer views of the scenic gardens or the Atlantic Ocean. All rooms are equipped with telephone, mini-bar, safe, cable TV and a hair dryer. Great atmosphere compared to larger, more modern hotels. We hiked a lot, but could easily have had a great vacation, staying only at this hotel. The restaurant was really great too
