Lobby is big for lounging, restaurant is stellar with nice view of mountains - breakfast is off the menu and included. Beds are comfy, towels big and soft. In a quiet location and only a 20 min. walk to the central plaza (or 7 soles via Uber).

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. We stayed here for 5 nights at new year. The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were cosy and comfy, there was stacks of hot water and a huge shower. We woke up to the sound of birds singing - zero city sounds. The breakfast was super - fruit, cereal (including a local gluten free option), eggs, cheese, ham, olives, yogurt and plenty of teas & coffee. The staff were smiley and helpful. Highly recommend this place. They also let us store our baggage.

Set in a charming colonial-style building with Spanish galleries, Majestad Boutique Hotel offers nicely decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi just 1 block from picturesque La Merced church. Wonderful lance in Arequipa. Very near the centre. Good value. Comfy and great buffet breakfast. I had a large spacious room. Lovely courtyard but not much space there for sitting out. There was a fridge in the room too - a bonus.
