The absolutely best motel during my trip in South Island. They have very large rooms and the facilities are well equipped and fantastic lake view.

The bed and breakfast also offers facilities for disabled guests. We were welcomed by the owners on arrival who were so friendly and very welcoming. We had a beautiful en-suite room with doors out to a little patio area overlooking the beautiful garden and gorgeous views beyond - such a great setting! Tea and coffee was available in the shared kitchen/sitting room and there was fresh milk in the fridge. Breakfast was in the pavilion, self service cereals and toast and fab coffee! A very comfy bed too it was a great night’s stay!

Lakeside Motel & Apartments Te Anau is 10 minutes’ walk from the town centre. Guests can take a trip to the lovely Milford Sound, which is 90 minutes’ drive away. Queenstown is a 2-hour drive away. I simply loved the view of the place .

Plenty of parking and adjacent to a good restaurant

Set in beautiful garden surroundings, this B&B is only 100 metres from the shores of Lake Te Anau. Each room includes cable TV, electric blankets and tea/coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available. We were the only guests for two nights as the area got battered by one-in-a-century storm that we were not aware of. When we arrived, the whole town didn't have electricity but that didn't dampen our spirits. The owners provided extra blankets and I had the best sleep in months. The owners gave us recommendation on what to do on a spare day that we were supposed to spend cruising Doubtful Sound (cancelled due to the storm) and helped us a lot fixing the car. We'll book again for our next stay.

The comfortable rooms offer en suite bathrooms and modern facilities. The hotel has a communal lounge with a fireplace. Location was great opposite the lovely lake . Staff were most friendly and helpful. Parking was easy

Located in central Invercargill, Ibis Styles Invercargill offers spacious self-contained apartments with free WiFi. The property features free fitness centre access and an in-house movie theatre. It also offers a games room with a billiards table. Stayed overnight only but it was really clean and comfortable.and central. I wish I had stayed another day to explore Invercargil.
