Great location in Little India and close to many of the top attractions in George Town. The staff was very friendly and helpful at all times during my stay. The room was very clean and well equipped with everything I needed, and the coffee/tea station in the hallway was a nice extra touch. Overall, an amazing stay in George Town!

Breakfast was phenomenal. Toured the hotel and loved learning its history. Staff know you and are ready to help in any way. Plenty to see as soon as you walk out the door but also a pleasure to spend time in the room.

We had a room in the heritage wing and it was huge. The bathroom is almost as big as some rooms in inner city hotels in e.g., Tokyo. The seating area with the sofa was great for relaxing in the evening. I also liked that we had plenty of water (and other minibar items) everyday, including a newspaper. The breakfast at Sarkies was great; we especially liked the Omelette and Roti station, and also the Kue Talam. Lastly, we mostly stayed at the Heritage Wing pool, which is very scenic, with the ocean on one side and the historic building on the other.

The room was very big and had shower and restroom in the garden only for us. Air conditioning and fan were working properly and great for the town heat. Ruby was super nice, talkative and responsive. She helped us arranging an heritage tour of the town with an English speaking guide, Mr Yeap. The walk was around 4 hours , pretty intensive and interesting. We had breakfast too with eggs and fruits but you could choose having something else. We tried also Christophs restaurant twice and it was a delicious experience. Do not miss the cheap beer place just around the corner. It is called cheap beers on Maps and it is full of local and tourists. Cheap cheap beer starting from 6RM
