Individually designed rooms are fitted with classic wood furnishings and air conditioning. They have a safe, hairdryer and tea/coffee maker. We stayed at the Blue Mansion for four nights as part of our honeymoon trip around Malaysia, and could not recommend it more highly. It is a gorgeous hotel and they have done an amazing job preserving the tranquil, historic feel whilst also ensuring it is comfortable for guests. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly and attentive. Because it is a small hotel with a smaller staff, it is lovely to see familiar faces every day. We loved the breakfast, which consists of a small buffet and menu of cooked breakfasts, all of which were excellent. We also had cocktails in the bar before going out to dinner three of the four nights, and the quality of the cocktails was exceptional. The pool area is small but peaceful, and we very much enjoyed using both the pool and our in-room jacuzzi after a long day exploring in the Penang heat. The location is brilliant, and it is within a very short walk of great food and Georgetown nightlife. This is a very personal, unique hotel experience, and we would not hesitate to stay here again.

We have tried the popular resorts in Penang but this gorgeous boutique hotel is a far superior experience. Wonderful staff that always greeted us with genuine warmth and care. An immaculate and well cared for property with a beautiful courtyard. Just an all around superb experience. We will be back!

Situated within the UNESCO World Heritage city of Georgetown, Coffee Atelier is a collection of 5 beautifully-restored shophouses dating back to 1927. Featuring spacious suites with free Wi-Fi, it an art gallery and its own coffee museum. When I arrived in front of the hotel, I could not believe how beautiful it is ! When I saw the room, it was amazing ! I spent 4 nights there and would have stayed more with pleasure. My room on the ground floor was spacious , beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It was always very clean too. Ruby and Judy take good care of the hotel, and took good care of me too, helped me in everything I needed and I loved them ! They are very nice , and also very good people.

Hotel Yeng Keng is located along Chulia Street, 15 minutes on foot from Fort Cornwallis and Khoo Kongsi. Famous food centre, Gurney Drive, is a 10-minute drive away. Colonial vibes all the way. There was a major problem in the city with the water supply, but the hotel was on top of things and didn't affect us in the least. Centrally located, i'm not sure what more we could have wanted
