The garden and grounds were beautiful and well kept. A beautiful oasis close to the center. Very quiet and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and attentive. I would 100 % recommend this accommodation and stay here again.

Offering an outdoor swimming pool and free breakfast, the Diplomat Hotel is located within Mérida's historic centre, 1 km from the Plaza Grande Park and 800 metres from the Zoo. I loved the feel of this boutique hotel and the decor of my suite, adding a touch of rustic elegance. The vegeterian breakfast was a spread of delights with a Mexican twist, with the sound of a pool waterfall as the perfect morning backdrop. The owners, a friendly Australian couple, not only extended a personal welcome to each guest, but were on hand (via WhatsApp) to give tips and guidance on things to do (and avoid). All staff were fabulous, and I need to give Mel a shout-out who looked after me exceptionally well. The hotel is a keeper and I may well go back to Merida just to stay here again.

Beautiful surroundings with lush green gardens, nice pool to cool off. Aaron was a great resource for recommendations for dinner.

Isaac welcomed us in the evening after a long day travelling :) we missed the massage but we will be back next year For sure !!!

Absolutely lovely hotel, great staff, very clean and everything finished to a high standard. Hammocks in the rooms were a nice touch. Food was excellent. The only hotel where we ate in all the time.
